Speaker biography:

Jordan E. Lake M.D., M.Sc. is Associate Professor with Tenure in the McGovern School of Medicine at UTHealth. She completed both medical school and Internal Medicine residency at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas, followed by an Infectious Diseases fellowship and Master of Science in Clinical Research degree program at the University of California, Los Angeles. Dr. Lake’s translational research portfolio focuses on the treatment of metabolic complications of HIV and antiretroviral therapy in adults, including optimization of care for transgender women with HIV, with particular expertise in translational clinical trials. Dr. Lake serves as Co-Chair of the Metabolic Working Group of the MACS WIHS Combined Cohort Study, and is an active member of the AIDS Clinical Trials Group (ACTG), including serving/having served on multiple ACTG scientific committees and protocol leadership teams.
